Bugatti’s flagship replacement, tentatively called the Chiron, has been caught in the skin before it undergoes crash testing.
These photos were posted on gtboard’s Instagram profile, and it appears that the Chiron is indeed inspired by the Vision Gran Turismo Concept, though with a simpler headlight design. The front windscreen and roof also draws its inspiration from the Vision Gran Turismo Concept.
Elsewhere, the spied car appears to be just a shell, possibly for side impact crash tests. There are no photos of this prototype’s interior though.
It has been widely speculated that the Bugatti Chiron will sport 1,500 horsepower from its quad-turbo 8.0-litre W16 engine, while hybrid variants are said to come at a later stage. The new hypercar from Bugatti is likely going to debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show.
