The Lamborghini Aventador has achieved an important milestone in its history, where production has reached 5,000 units in just 55 months.
The milestone unit with chassis number 5,000 is an Aventador LP700-4 Roadster, finished in Rosso Bia. It will remain in Italy, where its customer is awaiting delivery.
The Lamborghini Aventador turned out to be even more popular and successful than its predecessor, the Murcielago as it’s surpassed its predecessor in terms of units assembled, with the Murcielago being retired after 4,099 units in 9 years of production.
Lamborghini’s flagship model is expected to receive a facelift and at least one more special edition in the future, so the final production number will be considerably higher. Chances are the final production model for the flagship might stand close to 10,000 units, by the time its replacement is introduced.
