Just ahead of its Geneva debut in March, French press has gotten hold of patent images of the upcoming limited Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4.
While the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 won’t be as exclusive as the Aventador-based Veneno (Lamborghini only built fourteen units), expect the Centenario to just nothing short spectacular. Similar to the Veneno, the Centenario will feature aggressive angles throughout the car, with massive air scoops on the front and side of the supercar. The patent images also show a large rear diffuser occupying most of the back of the Lamborghini.
The new Centenario was built to honour the 100th birthday of Lamborghini’s founder, Ferrucio Lamborghini, who was born on 28 April 1916. Centenario means centenary in Spanish, if you’ve haven’t already guessed.
Worldcarfans has also mentioned that the new Centenario LP 770-4 will employ the same 6.5-litre V12 found in the Aventador, this time, pushing out 770 PS (750 bhp). Similar to the Aventador, all-wheel-drive is present, and shifting duties is done by a seven-speed ISR transmission. 0-100 km/h is said to be achieved in just 2.8 seconds, with top speeds exceeding 350 km/h.
All units of the Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 has been spoken for, with prices starting at $2.38 million each. The Sant’Agata-based company will be building just 40 units of the Centenario, which includes 20 convertibles and 20 coupés.
The Lamborghini Centenario LP 770-4 will be making a global debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, which will begin on March 1.
