PT Astra Daihatsu Motor has officially launched the sportier Daihatsu Sirion Sport in Indonesia. The Daihatsu Sirion sold in Indonesia is similar to our Perodua Myvi sold here, and is manufactured by Perodua.
The Daihatsu Sirion Sport is offered as a sportier alternative to the vanilla Sirion, which includes new foglight garnish, front parking sensors, front aero kit and a chrome grille insert. For that sportier touch, the Daihatsu Sirion Sport also comes with body decals.
Under the hood, the Daihatsu Sirion Sport features the same engine as our Myvi, using a 1.3-litre K3-VE that pumps out 89 hp and 117 Nm of torque. The Sirion Sport comes offered with a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual. Safety is similar as the regular Sirion, with dual SRS airbags, front seat belts with pre-tensioner, three-point rear seat belts, ISOFIX child seat mounts and a collapsible steering column. ABS is oddly missing on the Indonesian Daihatsu Sirion.
The Daihatsu Sirion Sport is available only in white. The manual variant is priced at 168,325,000 rupiah (RM53,333), while the automatic variant is priced at 179,325,000 rupiah (RM56,818). Both prices quoted are on-the-road for Jakarta.
