Lexus continues to tease us with its creative and innovative hoverboard prototype with a new video that shows the hoverboard in motion starring pro skater and Lexus hoverboard test rider, Ross McGouran.
McGouran, a multiple UK skate champion, describes the unique experience of riding the Lexus hoverboard saying, “There’s no friction underneath you at all and I’m forgetting what I’m actually doing … floating on air.”
While the teaser video doesn’t really show McGouran riding on the board, it did show the hoverboard floating a few inches off the ground as McGouran runs his hand underneath it.
According to Lexus, the hoverboard features a highly advanced design that uses magnetic levitation to achieve frictionless movement as well as liquid nitrogen cooled superconductors and permanent magnets.
It is wrapped in a unique Lexus design with the iconic spindle grille signature shape and materials found in the luxury marque’s products, from the high-tech to natural bamboo.
