For the non-geeks out there, yesterday was the 4th of May, or to sci-fi fans around the world, Star Wars day? Huh? Why, you ask (I am imagining the same look Penny gave Leonard when she asked the same question on The Big Bang Theory)?
May the 4th be with you. Get it? I sincerely hope you do.
Anyway to celebrate that momentous day of celebration, Red Bull Racing decided to have a little bit of fun especially by donning their car with Star Wars reference stickers as well as getting their pit crew to dress up as storm troopers and Darth Vader as well.
I thought it was pretty cool of them to get in on the celebration as well. But ironically, is Infinity Red Bull trying to tell us that they are the empire?
Some interesting facts about May the 4th, back in the day when Margaret Tatcher was elected to be Britain’s first woman prime minister, her party took a half a page advertisement in the London Evening News with the message “May the Fourth Be With You, Maggie. Congratulations“. She won the election on the 4th of May.
For those of you who might have been living under a coconut shell, the 7th instalment of the Star Wars franchise, dubbed “The Force Awakens” is due in cinemas at the end of this year.
Also, this isn’t the first time Red Bull Racing has done something for Star Wars day.
