The Veyron is dead, long live the Chiron.
Following Veyron’s existence for almost ten years, development for the Veyron successor is taking place. Word has it that Veyron’s successor will be named after the mythological Greek centaur, the Chiron.
But keeping in-line with the Veyron, which is named after an iconic person in Bugatti, Pierre Veyron, the Chiron is named after Bugatti racing driver Louis Chiron. Chiron was Buggati’s most successful racing driver during its early days. That name also appeared as the Bugatti 18/3 Chiron (pic above) in the late 90’s, which inspired the Veyron.
No too many details for now, hopefully we won’t need to wait long to see how Bugatti counters the current hypercar onslaught from the other carmakers, but knowing them, it’s going to be epic.
