AF has just received this from a fellow motoring scribe in Thailand, where Honda has just launched the new Jazz. While actual specifications will likely differ from the model to be launched here in a couple of months time, it’s a good gauge as to what’s on the way. Of course the price may vary somewhat, from the model to be launched here, but over in Thailand the new Jazz is priced at Bt550,000 – 750,000 Thai Baht (roughly RM55,000-75,000)

The new Jazz is powered by a 4-cylinder, 16-valve 1.5L i-VTEC engine that produces 117 horsepower and maximum torque of 146 Newton-meters at 4,700 rpm. Combined with a new CVT transmission, driving is made more fun with a 7-speed Paddle Shift on the steering wheel and a Cruise Control function. The Eco Coaching feature is a fuel-saving driving display with an ECON mode.
Honda Jazz has been developed and redesigned with a sporty style, from the front headlights to the rear LED taillights, with a spacious interior and comfortable cabin. It can be used for multi-utility with the Ultra Seat, which is an outstanding specification for its adjustable seats. The all-new Honda Jazz is powered by a 117-horsepower, 1.5-liter i-VTEC engine, which is E85 compatible, that works with a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology. It is also equipped with an Eco Assist system to save fuel.

The all-new Honda Jazz is equipped with 7-inch Advanced Touch Audio that supports a wireless smartphone interface, HDMI audio and video connection, Voice Control function, “Siri Eyes-Free Mode” (for iPhone4s and later), and connects with the HondaLink Application (for some smartphone models). It also includes a fuel consumption display screen, automatic air conditioning system with touch control panel, and a One-Push Ignition System. The multi-function steering wheel offers a convenient-to-control audio switch and Hands Free Telephone Switch operated easily by a fingertip.
