Continental Tyre Malaysia (CTM) has launched the industry first warranty programme – 5 Years Warranty from the date of purchase.
All passenger light truck (PLT) tyres come with Continental’s global standard warranty of 2 years from the date of purchase. CTM guarantees its products by offering additional 3 years extended warranty which adds up as the 5-Year Warranty from date of purchase.
Unlike the previous 5-year warranty coverage, this new warranty program is offered from the date of purchase (DOP), on condition the purchase date is within 5 years of date of manufacture (DOM). This would benefit consumers better so that they don’t have to look out for freshest tyre based on DOM. So as long as the tyres are within 5 years of DOM on the day consumer bought the tyre, the warranty count starts from his/her date of purchase (DOP).
The extended warranty is offered to Malaysian market on any purchase on passenger light truck (PLT) tyres from January 1st, 2016 onwards.
The 5-Year Warranty from date of purchase applies to all Continental, Dunlop and Viking passenger light truck (PLT) tyres that is sold within Malaysia with original receipt or proof of purchase. Based on the term in the warranty programme, any adjustment made pursuant to this warranty will be based on the unused remaining tyre tread depth (RTD), and any product adjustment under this warranty will be considered upon inspection of the tyre by an accredited representative of CTM.
