Honda NSX owned by Ayrton Senna is up for grabs!

nsx-1

Both the Honda NSX and arguably the greatest Formula Driver ever, the late Ayrton Senna, are inseparable. Senna won three F1 titles with Honda-powered engines and he’s Honda’s favourite ‘son’. Afterall, the Honda NSX, Japan’s answer to the European onslaught of super cars, is designed with inputs from the great Brazilian. Twenty years after his tragic departure, one of Senna’s NSX can be yours thanks to British Auction house, Silverstone Auctions this coming February.

The black NSX, with black leather interior, and a five-speed manual gearbox has just 31,800 miles on the clock. This car was bought for Senna by his mentor and close friend, Antonio Carlos de Almeida Braga, for his use around Portugal. Senna had two other NSX in his personal collection. After that fateful accident at Imola, the Honda NSX remained covered in the garage of Braga’s house in Sintra, and was not allowed to be touched or driven by anyone. Two years later he sold this car to another buyer who subsequently resold again before the car was bought by a vendor of Silverstone Auctions.

The car can fetch up to £85,000 but that’s set to go up easily knowing this black NSX is a piece of automotive history that only petrolheads, and motor sports fans will understand. This may be your only chance to own one of Senna’s favorite cars as well.
