Apart from the facelifted Mitsubishi Mirage, Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. also introduced the enhanced Outlander Sport, now featuring the company’s ‘Dynamic Shield’ front fascia.
“The Outlander Sport is a brand leader for Mitsubishi Motors, and we are excited to unveil this eye-catching 2016 model-year,” said MMNA executive vice president, Don Swearingen. “The Outlander Sport has always been a fun vehicle that delivers on its promise of reliability and value, and the 2016 model year continues to do so with a great new family look that unifies the Mitsubishi CUV lineup.”
Front fascia aside, the MY16 also gets new power folding side mirrors with LED turn indicators, wheel lip moldings, auto-dimming rearview mirror and a new 18-inch alloy wheel design. The introduction of the facelifted model also introduces Cool Silver, Diamond White Pearl and Quartz Brown as new colours.
The MY16 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport did not receive any mechanical updates, unlike its little Mirage sibling.
The interior’s revision includes a redesigned steering wheel, new 6.1″ Display Audio, high quality seat fabrics and a new light gray interior option. Seven SRS airbags are fitted as standard to the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport.
Looks familiar? That’s because the Mitsubishi Outlander Sport is basically the same as our Mitsubishi ASX. In fact, our ASX was recently updated back in September.
