The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. Mitsubishi’s longest serving performance model will soon be coming to an end, but with a proper farewell. Think of it as Norse Farewell where Mitsubishi has given the final edition of the Evo X a proper farewell it deserves.
Called the Final Concept, the final version of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will be easily identified by its matte black exterior paint, gloss black roof and chrome on the front grille. Besides that, the 19-inch RAYS forged aluminium wheels are shod in sticky Advan Neova rubbers.
Under the hood, the Final Concept sports a turbocharger by HKS, a new ECU, new intake and exhaust system as well as a new cooling system. Since the Final Concept is based on the GSR variant, power is transferred to all 4 wheels via a 5-speed stick shift. Mitsubishi quotes that the new Final Concept will make a total of 473hp. With 473hp lurking under the front hood, this makes the Final Concept the most powerful production Lancer Evolution, putting it above even the UK-only Lancer Evolution FQ-400.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Final Concept will debut at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon next month.
