That’s right, you get a longer MINI. Not just that, include in two extra doors. We previously covered the launch just a couple of months ago but that was the 3 door variant. Now MINI has just launched a 5-door variant.
In terms of stretching, that is a 72 mm worth at the wheelbase and 161 mm longer. Overall height has been increased by 11mm and all of that stretching and pulling gives passengers a bit more legroom and headroom as well as elbow room in the new MINI.
The new MINI will come in the MINI Cooper S 5-door variant (4-cylinder petrol engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology producing 192hp & 280Nm), the MINI Cooper 5-door variant (3-cylinder petrol engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology producing 136 hp & 220 Nm), the MINI Cooper SD 5-door variant (4-cylinder diesel engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology producing 170hp & 360Nm) and the MINI Cooper D 5-door variant (3-cylinder diesel engine with MINI TwinPower Turbo Technology producing 116hp & 270Nm).
So in all fact, ironically, the MINI isn’t getting any smaller but larger instead.
