Just last week, Waze was beta testing iOS 12 with Apple’s CarPlay, the in-car system meant for iPhone users. Now, it is finally out for all to use. Waze will be the 2nd third party mapping and navigation system available on CarPlay aside from Google Maps and Apple’s own mapping and navigation software.

All you need is an iPhone running on the latest operating system, iOS 12 and a car with CarPlay and you are good to go. Waze is still part of the overall Google or Alphabet family so it isn’t surprising anyway.
As of now, CarPlay has been built into 400 different types of vehicles from various manufacturers around the world. This includes a complete integration with the rest of the car’s systems to an alternative to the existing inbuilt system. Third-party party car stereo makers also have included in CarPlay as an option, players such as Kenwood and Pioneer have multiple devices ready to be plugged in together with Apple’s CarPlay.
