Naza Kia Malaysia has recently launched the updated Sportage, which is now fitted with 25 refreshing enhancements at no additional cost.
Priced at RM138,888 on-the-road with insurance, the subtle redesign includes new projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, LED rear combination lamps, LED high mounted stop lamps, electric adjustable and folding mirrors with LED side repeater, as well as auto, escort and welcome lights. Electronic chromic mirror and new 18-inch alloy wheels are included too.
Inside, new leather seats have been added plus an 8-way adjustable driver’s seat and 2-step adjustable rear sear back recliner are now standard. A 4.2-inch TFT LCD screen is fitted between the dials displaying vital vehicle information, with rear-view camera display. A seven-speaker sound system is also available, as well as steering audio remote control with Bluetooth connectivity and panoramic sunroof, just to name a few.
The Sportage is available in a single variant powered by a new 2.0-litre petrol engine that churns out 152hp and 191Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission driving all four wheels.
“The New Sportage is much more than a facelift. This popular SUV now comes with aesthetic enhancements in the exterior and interior, a new engine for optimal driving performance, improvements and all-new additional features,” said Datuk Syed Abdull Hafiz Syed Abu Bakar, COO of Naza Kia Malaysia.
With a monthly target of 150 units, he said the New Sportage will help Naza Kia Malaysia achieve its sales target of 15,670 units this year. In 2013, the Sportage performed positively with recorded sales of 1,406 units.
The SUV will be available at Naza Kia Malaysia’s Kia World Cup Bonanza Customer Day from March 13 to 16 at all 43 outlets nationwide. During the Customer Day, customers will be presented with exciting offers, fun activities, refreshments and the chance to win a trip to Brazil when they book, register or test drive the Picanto or Cerato.
