Following its successful introduction in June last year, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia now presents the 10th generation E-Class as a locally-assembled model. The company will be assembling the E200 Avantgarde Line, E250 Avantgarde Line and E250 Exclusive Line at the company’s production facility in Pekan, Pahang.
“Since its introduction last year, the E-Class has received overwhelming response, making it the best-selling CBU introduction model to date. With the new locally-assembled E-Class, we mark a new era in locally produced cars and firmly cement our position as the leading premium luxury brand in Malaysia, always pursuing our claim to be the best or nothing,” says Mark Raine, Vice President, Sales & Marketing Passenger Cars, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia.
The CKD E-Class retains the similar specifications found in the CBU model, powered by the company’s 2.0-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder petrol engine, paired to a 9-speed G-tronic automatic transmission. On the E200, it produces a total output of 184hp and 300Nm of torque allowing it to accelerate 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds before reaching a top speed of 240km/h. Meanwhile, the E250 powertrain churns out 211hp and 350Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0-100km/h in 6.9 seconds before reaching a top speed of 250 km/h. Both the E200 and E250 have a combined fuel consumption of 5.9 litres per 100 km.
In terms of pricing, the CKD E200 Avantgarde Line retails for RM348,888 (RM47k less than the CBU model), while the E250 Avantgarde Line is priced at RM378,888 (RM42k less than the CBU model). Meanwhile, the E250 Exclusive Line will set you back at RM383,888 (RM42k less than the CBU model). All prices are on-the-road without insurance and inclusive of GST.
Aside from that, Mercedes-Benz Financial is offering a 3-year Agility Financing agreement for the new locally-assembled E-Class where buyers pay only RM 5,042* per month to enjoy the E200 Avantgarde Line.
With Agility Financing, customers can expect low monthly installments, a guaranteed future value for the car with flexible options to choose from at the end of the finance agreement. This includes returning the car or paying off the guaranteed future value amount or refinancing the guaranteed future value amount. Agility Financing is also available for the E 250 Avantgarde Line and E250 Exclusive Line.
