With a total of 11,779 units sold in 2016, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia recorded its best ever performance, sealing the top spot in the premium car segment in Malaysia and worldwide.
Looking back, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia achieved the highest sale in June, with a total of 1,203 units sold, resulting in the second quarter of 2016 being the best performing quarter with 3,359 units sold. 2016 marks the first time the company have exceeded the 11,000 mark in sales. MBM continues to be the top premium brand in Malaysia with a 2.4% market share.
Breaking the figures down, Mercedes-Benz’s locally-assembled models, including the C-, E- and S-Class chartered a total of 7,750 units, whilst the compact range which includes the A-Class, B-Class, GLA and CLA saw 2,316 units sold. The company’s newest range of SUVs saw a total of 1,671 units sold, with the GLC being the most popular model with 1,421 units sold, followed by the GLE at 250 units.
Mercedes-Benz’s entry-level limousine, the C-Class was the company’s best selling volume seller, with 4,762 units sold, followed by the E-Class at 2,034 units. The range-topper S-Class saw 954 sold. As for the Mercedes-Benz Dream Car range, a total of 301 units were sold.
Sales figures aside, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has committed to provide top-class service to customers, as proven by their capabilities of their service centres nationwide that serviced a total of 108,226 vehicles in 2016. MBM also achieved the highest customer satisfactory index in history.
