The 2015 Mitsubishi Triton has not been launched locally as yet, but was lunched in Thailand late last year. So when will our turn be? Well, it could be very soon, as we spied the new Mitsubishi Triton here in Malaysia.
Launched back in 2007, the current generation Mitsubishi Triton has been on our roads for the past 8 years, and has received a number of facelifts to keep it fresh. The latest generation Triton was launched in Thailand back in November 2014, which at the same time, also introduced a new 2.4-litre MIVEC VGT engine. The new engine produces 179 hp and a total of 430 Nm of torque. It is likely that this engine will be mated to both a 5-speed manual and 5-speed automatic.
We believe that the truck was undergoing a photoshoot session, and the launch is imminent. Apart from the 2015 Mitsubishi Triton, the new Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger is also slated to be launched soon!
