Initially intended for the Middle East market, Aston Martin has changed their mind, and has opened up sales for the uber-luxurious new Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf to more markets.
The Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf will be sold to clients at EU legislation-compliant Continental Europe, United Kingdom and South Africa as the Lagonda Taraf has been re-engineered for left and right hand drive markets.
CEO of Aston Martin Dr Andy Palmer said: “Opening up the Lagonda Taraf to an increased number of customers around the world was a high priority for me as soon as I joined Aston Martin late last year. I wanted to be able to offer this exceptional saloon to the potential owners from around the globe who have been enquiring about it, and I’m very happy that we have been able to expand the Lagonda proposition.”
Launched in Dubai late last year, the Aston Martin Lagonda Taraf is hand-built by craftsman and women at Aston Martin’s plant in Gaydon, Warwickshire. The Lagonda Taraf rides on Aston Martin’s VH platform, and is powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine.
Aston Martin remains tight-lipped on prices of the Lagonda, as each Lagonda sports bespoke content that varies from client to client. Lagonda clients are entitled to customize their prized Lagonda using the Q by Aston Martin bespoke service. No, you can’t get rocket-launchers and machine-guns installed, or can you?
“I’m also particularly pleased that we have been able to engineer Lagonda for right-hand drive markets meaning, of course, that I’m sure we will see the car in use on Aston Martin’s ‘home ground’ of the UK in due course,” he added.
