Tired of waiting for information about the upcoming Honda HR-V? Wait no longer as we have some juicy information about the upcoming baby-SUV from Honda.
From what we’ve gathered so far, the Honda HR-V sold in Malaysia will come with only a single engine choice, which is the 1.8-litre R18A1 petrol engine. The said engine is lifted off the Civic 1.8 and sports 138 bhp at 6,300 rpm and 174 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The engine should be paired to Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology continuously variable transmission (CVT).
The Honda HR-V is said to come in 5 different body colours, although there was no mention of what colour would be made available. Malaysians will get to choose from 3 trim variants of the Honda HRV (perhaps like the Honda Jazz’s Grade S, Grade E and Grade V?), and prices are said to start from the RM90,000 range till the RM110,000 range.
The launch of the new Honda HR-V is slated for the end of January 2015. The Honda HR-V will go head-to-head against other baby-SUVs like the Peugeot 2008 and the Ford EcoSport.
