Honda Malaysia has announced that they will increase the number of locations for owners to replace the Takata front airbag inflators.
The company is now collaborating with Petronas Dagangan Berhad (PDB) so owners of affected Honda models can replace their airbag inflators at selected Petronas stations. On top of that, owners can also replace their airbag inflators at mobile hubs at shopping malls and all 84 authorized Honda service centres.
Additionally, customers can also replace their airbags inflators at the locations of Honda Family Road Trip (HFRT), an outdoor nationwide event filled with fun activities for the whole family.
In addition to these activities, Honda Malaysia is also working closely with the Road Transport Department (Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalanraya, JPJ) to approach current owners who are affected by the Takata airbag inflator issue.
Honda Malaysia said that as of 21 February, stock availability for the Takata driver front airbag inflator is at 100%, and replacement has now reached 75%. The company is working hard to increase stock for the passenger front airbag inflator.
