BMW Group Malaysia has previewed the locally-assembled BMW X1 and BMW X4, which will be the ninth and tenth CKD models in Malaysia.
Speaking at the launch, Mr Han Sang Yun, Managing Director and CEO of BME Group Malaysia said that BMW Malaysia has revised the pricing strategy for the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo, BMW X3 and BMW 5 Series, and prices will be lower by up to 9%.
In addition to that, BMW Group Malaysia has also announced that in 2018, Malaysia will be the export hub for the BMW 3 Series, BMW 5 Series and BMW 7 Series variants to Vietnam and Philippines.
During the event, BMW Group Malaysia has mentioned that the company will launch the locally-assembled BMW X1 and X4 during the second half of the year, and prices and full specifications of the said models will be made available then.
Lastly, BMW Malaysia has announced that the BMW 5 Series will receive added equipment as standard, which includes the M Sport Package, Comfort Access, Sports Seats for Driver and Front Passenger as well as the BMW ConnectedDrive for the 520i, 520d and 528i.
The BMW 528i M Sport adds a glassroof and M Rear spoiler. Both the BMW 520i M Sport and 520d M Sport receives 18-inch M Light Double Spoke alloy wheels while the 528i M Sport receives 19-inch Light Double Spoke Alloy wheels.
