Sitting at one end at the Mines International Exhibition & Convention Centre, UMW Toyota has quietly showcased the Toyota Sienta, which is slated to be released before the end of 2016.
The Toyota Sienta, unlike the Avanza and Innova, is in fact a front-wheel drive MPV. This, coupled with the power sliding doors means that the Sienta will provide greater flexibility than regular MPVs. The taller height also also ease egress and ingress.
Under the hood, the Toyota Sienta is powered by a 1.5-litre Dual-VVTi, similar to the one powering the current Avanza. The Sienta here is equipped with a CVT with seven virtual ratios.
Kit count is generous, as the Toyota Sienta, in its range-topping V trim, features steering-mounted audio controls, air-conditioning vents for its second row seats, push start button, one-touch tumble for the rear seats, ABS, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC), automatic air conditioning and LED headlights.
When the Toyota Sienta arrives here, expect the new MPV to be priced between the Toyota Avanza and Toyota Innova. In that case, the upcoming Toyota Sienta could be priced between RM85,000 and RM110,000.
You can catch the Sienta and more at the ongoing 2016 My Auto Fest!
