The good folks over at BMW has decided to revamp their Motorrad division website, starting first with the German site as well as South Africa. In a quest to update all of the remaining countries (50 in total), the whole facade has been designed to follow that of a lifestyle brand rather than a boring motorcycle manufacturer. The brand promises a mantra which is “Make Life a Ride” and if you checked out the content of those sites, it does really portray that.
The idea is to showcase what BMW Motorrad is all about and how to bring it up to life by showcasing stories instead of just pushing a product at customers. The flow of the website is designed in such a way that it tells a story to the reader, much like how the sales advisor would tell you at the BMW Motorrad dealership. It wasn’t exactly easy as more than 400 pages were created for the new platform with 8,000 images and loads of video content as well.
