Hyundai has just unveiled its subcompact sedan called the Xcent ahead of its world premiere at the India Auto Expo 2014.
Measuring just under 4-metres in length, the Xcent will go up against the existing Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze, as well as the new Tata Zest and the production version of the Ford Figo Concept, both of which are also making their first appearance at the India show this week.
The Xcent is positioned as a stylish and high tech sedan for the families in the late 20s and early 30s who need a distinctive runabout vehicle. It features dual tone beige and black interiors, multiple storage options on the door trims and center console, rear air condition vents, smart key with push start button and electrochromic mirror with rear camera display, just to name a few.
The Hyundai Xcent will be available in both petrol and diesel options. The car comes powered with 1.2-litre engine producing 82bhp and 114Nm of torque. The oil burner gets a 1.1-litre engine that belts out 70bhp of power and 160Nm of torque. Both the engines are mated with five-speed manual transmission, while the petrol also gets an option of 4-speed automatic gearbox as well.
The Hyundai Xcent will arrive in India this March.
