In an effort to promote road safety awareness, Proton starts its modest 30th anniversary by kick-starting its free 30 points vehicle inspection for its customers at all authorised service centres nationwide.
Speaking at the launch of the free 30 points vehicle inspection, Dato’ Abdul Harith Abdullah, CEO of Proton said, “We would like to thank our fellow Malaysians for the support they have given to us for the last 30 years. Therefore, this is our small token to our customers to get closer to them instead of just waiting for them to send their cars to our service centres. Our teams will be stationed at 5 different areas consisting of Petronas stations and an R&R area to cater to the needs of customers who are already on the way to their kampung and holiday destinations.”
The free 30-point vehicle inspection will run till 31 October 2015 at all authorised Proton service centres nationwide. The 30-points vehicle inspection include checks on fluid level, battery, wiper blades, radiator cap, pedal operation, suspension system, steering linkage, and ball joint system, cooling system, fuel and brake system as well as tyre pressure (including spare tyre). Customers will also be given free consultation on engine and car maintenance, as well as enjoy discounts on parts and other promotions.
“In previous years, Proton has been offering between 18 to 20 points free inspection to our customers. However, in conjunction with the 30th anniversary celebration this year, we have increased the inspection to 30 points to give a more in-depth check on customers’ cars. They include checks to the ABS module, alternator, transmission, power steering, fuel main pipe/pressure hose, radiator fan, starter, lamps, fusible link and accessories. This is partly our way of saying thank you to our customers,” added Dato’ Harith.
Jointly organized with Petronas, customers will also be receiving a free goodie back when they send their cars in for inspection. Petronas will also be distributing free Petronas coffee break pouches to motorists that drive into any of its 40 participating stations nationwide on 15 to 16 July and 20 to 21 July 2015.
The participating Petronas stations are as follow:
