Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) has announced a series of recall globally regarding airbag inflator on certain Toyota models. The last local recall was on 13 May 2015. Recently on 25 June 2015, TMC announced that the service campaign will extend to even more Toyota models. Find out more below!
UMW Toyota Motor confirmed that the Special Service Campaign will be extended in Malaysia. A total of 29,985 Toyota Vios, Toyota Corolla Altis and Toyota Yaris which are manufactured from April 2007 to December 2008 that are involved in this campaign.
UMW Toyota Motor will be in touch with all affected car owners to carry out the necessary corrective measures. If the car is equipped with an affected inflator, the inflator will be replaced with a newly manufactured one at no charge to the car owner.
No other Toyota models sold by UMW Toyota Motor produced after December 2008 are affected by this campaign. Customers may call Toyota Toll Free Line at 1800-8-869682 further information.
