An American Toyota executive was recently arrested in Japan as reported by CNN Money. The article described that the executive, was allegedly arrested due to some issues with narcotics.
Julie Hamp, the said executive, was just recently appointed as Toyota’s Chief Communications Officer and had moved to Japan. As there aren’t a lot of details out there yet, Toyota’s President, Akio Toyoda, released a press statement.
The good folks at Toyota are supporting Julie through this time and will be awaiting for the complete investigation to be done by the proper authorities.
