While Yamaha narrowly lost the MotoGP title for this year, that did not stop the boys in blue to promote their latest concept motorcycle, codenamed the YZF R25, in this year’s Tokyo Motor Show in Japan.
While it has a quarter of the power of Yamaha’s MotoGP bikes, the R250 concept bike features parallel-twin, 249cc 4-stroke with designs and liveries based on the Yamaha M1 bike used by Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi. While it may be short of power, Yamaha’s strong lineage of dynamics will make the R25 an absolute joy to ride.
Yamaha has roped in MotoGP legend and Yamaha Factory Team rider, Valentino “The Doctor” Rossi to promote the new sport bikes as seen on the video below. “It’s an all new street motorcycle injected with Yamaha Motor Racing’s pedigree,” says Valentino Rossi with grins from his face, showing the multiple MotoGP world champion is pretty happy with the outcome of this new bike.
With that, we believe with it’s great looks and should the price is right, this bike can be very appealing to Malaysian bikers with B2 license, moreover with strong fanbase of “the Doctor” in Malaysia.
