In keeping up the momentum following the launch of the Vespa Primavera, NAZA Premira Sdn Bhd, the sole and official importer of Vespa scooters in Malaysia has introduced the latest addition to the Vespa scooter family, dubbed the Vespa LT 150 3V IE.
The Vespa LT 150 is powered by an air-cooled single-cylinder 3-valve engine with electronic fuel injection, a new bore and stroke and friction-reducing crankshaft. This newest version of the Vespa LT 150 retains the unique Vespa Design DNA, has been subtly enhanced and combined with the latest Piaggio technology to provide a premium scooter that is innovative, stylish and the ideal choice for first time riders.
The LT 150 is mounted on a sturdier and more aesthetically pleasing chassis design that is sturdier without the addition of weight. The air-cooled 3V engine with electronic fuel injection, is lighter than its predecessor and provides decreased friction and improved fluid dynamics – essentially providing higher performance and better fuel economy (about 30% better when compared to earlier generations) that generates lower polluting emissions. The 3V IE engine reaches the fuel level of 55km/l at 50km/h constant speed.
This model features a 2-coloured saddle with an embroidered Vespa logo and also sports Italian flags on both sides of the scooter. A round headlamp accentuates its curves and an embossed rear shield, footrest, and black lateral covers are in perfect harmony with the rear view mirrors, saddle and rims.
Vespa LT 150 3V IE is also equipped with single-armed front suspension, a distinctive feature found only in Vespa scooters. A safety side-stand with anti-start system reminds the rider to disengage the side-stand before running the scooter.
Available in two colours; red and orange, the Vespa LT 150 is now available for purchases and it is priced at RM9,888 (basic selling price).
