Just a week to go before the Malaysian MotoGP and Next Bike Sdn Bhd (Ducati Malaysia) is already embracing the spirit of the sport with the launch of the Ducati Diavel Strada GP Edition (black) and the striking new Diavel Stripe colour schemes. The two bikes were officially launched at the NST Auto Show-COTY 2013 event graced by Yang Berhormat P. Kamalanathan s/o P. Panchanathan (above), Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Learning.
The Ducati Diavel, one of Ducati’s most popular motorcycle models to date, has earned great respect and the appreciation of avid bikers the world over since its introduction at the 2010 Milan International Motorcycle Show. With each model variant, Ducati has managed to further refine the dynamic combination of Italian style and decades of twin-cylinder heritage. The Diavel is a supreme blend of cultivated beauty, state-of-the-art technology, innovative design and unique riding pleasure. With its muscular silhouette of a well-built athlete over a pure-bred competition motor, the Diavel delivers the strength and performance Ducati is best known for.
The Diavel 2013 takes the shape of power and style, offering a sophisticated design with an incredible 162hp of authentic Ducati performance, three Riding Modes, ABS and Ducati Traction Control that provide a comfortable and sporty riding experience.
The Diavel Strada GP Edition features wide side panniers, a tourer seat, touring windshield and passenger back-rest and is a brand new blend of power cruiser performance, comfort and functionality that makes touring the countryside a breeze. This model is also available as another variant – the Diavel Strada GP Sports Edition, which includes the Temignoni full exhaust system. Colors for the Diavel Strada GP Edition is black.
Ducati also turns heads with a vibrant makeover of the much-loved Diavel design – the Diavel Stripe. Ducati’s designers enhanced the aesthetics of this bike with two striking new colour schemes that give this dynamic machine greater ‘street-sport’ appeal. As the name suggests the new Diavel Stripe sports a combination of stylish white stripes on Ducati red finish and also dons splendid white wheels to complement the look.
“To date, Ducati Malaysia has sold 550 units from our diversified range of Diavel models – including the standard Diavel, the Diavel Cromo, the Diavel Carbon and the limited edition Diavel AMG. We anticipate further increase in Ducati’s sales volume as we cater to the power-cruiser market with the introduction of the Diavel Stripe and Diavel Strada GP Edition” stated Datuk Wira SM Faisal Tan Sri SM Nasimuddin, Joint Group Executive Chairman of NAZA Group of Companies.
