Hot off the heels of the Jetour Dashing’s debut, Jetour Malaysia is gearing up for its next big move—a seven-seater SUV dubbed the VT9. First seen at the Malaysia Autoshow 2024, the VT9 has now been officially teased via the brand’s Facebook page, signalling that its local launch is just around the corner.
Slotting into the D-segment, the VT9 offers a roomier cabin and a more commanding road presence. Its dimensions speak for themselves—measuring 4,724 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,720 mm in height, with a 2,720 mm wheelbase and 144 mm ground clearance.
It’s every bit the family-sized SUV you’d expect in this segment, combining generous proportions with a bold, modern aesthetic.
Design with a Dash of Luxury
The VT9’s styling takes a more premium and aggressive turn, drawing subtle inspiration from European SUVs. At the rear, a full-width light bar gives off strong pre-facelift Audi Q8 vibes, while the front features Jetour’s signature chrome accents, slim LED lighting, and a closed-off grille for a futuristic touch.

From the Malaysia Autoshow 2024 display, the VT9 showcased chrome window surrounds, sporty red accents, roof rails, faux quad tailpipes, and stylish 19-inch two-tone alloy wheels.
Interior Tech and Comfort
Step inside, and you’re greeted with a dual 10.25-inch widescreen setup—one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. The dashboard layout has shades of older Mercedes-Benz interiors, with a minimalist design and strong horizontal elements.

Connectivity and convenience are clearly in focus: USB ports at the front and rear, multiple 12V sockets, a 50W wireless charging pad, and support for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Depending on the variant, you can also expect a six-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, paddle shifters, a 360-degree camera, and a powered tailgate.
Variants and Safety Kit
If the previous plans still stand, we’ll see the VT9 offered in two variants—Prime and Signature. The Prime variant will likely come with four airbags and autonomous emergency braking (AEB), while the Signature trim is expected to pack more premium features like a panoramic sunroof, driver’s seat memory function, metal pedals, six airbags, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and a door-opening warning system.

Power and Performance
Under the bonnet, the VT9 is expected to carry a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 156 PS and 230 Nm of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed wet dual-clutch transmission, delivering power to the front wheels. While that might not sound groundbreaking on paper, it’s a tried-and-true setup that prioritises efficiency and smooth driving.

Jetour is keeping some of the finer details—such as official pricing and full specs—under wraps for now. However, with the model now teased and anticipation building, the VT9 is set to be one of the more talked-about SUV launches in Malaysia this year.
