As we reported before, yesterday Volvo unveiled their ES90, their first full electric sedan. However, here is the catch, the Volvo ES90 does not fit into a single category as it blends the best of all three worlds – sedan, fastback and SUV.
The ES90 is also the most powerful vehicle in terms of computing with the dual NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Orin processors under the hood and the fact that it was built on Volvo Cars Superset tech stack.

Striking Design and Smart Aerodynamics
Now the Volvo ES90 has been unveiled let us see what was in store for the world starting with the exterior. With its confident stance, sleek roofline, and signature Thor’s Hammer headlights, the ES90 is a head-turner.
The slightly raised ride height offers a commanding view of the road, while the aerodynamic design (Cd 0.25) enhances efficiency and extends range. At the rear, distinctive C-shaped LED taillights and an elegant light sequence create a premium feel. Choose from seven colours and four alloy wheel designs (20–22 inches) to make it yours.
Powerful Performance Choices
When it comes to performance the ES90 comes with 2 powertrains. The single-motor rear-drive setup represents the entry-level model, delivering 329 HP and 480 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 6.7 seconds.
The mid-range Twin Motor variant uses a dual-motor setup, producing 442 HP and 670 Nm of torque, with a 0-100km/h time of 5.3 seconds.
At the top of the lineup, the Twin Motor Performance model cranks things up with 670 horsepower and 860 Nm of torque, rocketing from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
With 800V architecture, the ES90 charges fast—186 miles of range in 10 minutes on a 350-kW DC fast charger. The dual-motor models (102.0-kWh battery) charge 10-80% in 20 minutes, while the single-motor model (88.0-kWh battery) reaches 300-kW peak speeds.
Spacious, Comfortable, and Thoughtfully Designed
Inside, the 3.1-metre wheelbase offers generous rear legroom, while the 424-litre boot expands to 733 litres when rear seats fold. A 22-litre frunk adds extra storage.
The panoramic roof enhances the airy feel, and with the electrochromic option, you can adjust transparency. The four-zone climate system with an advanced air purifier ensures clean air for all passengers.
Smart Technology for Seamless Journeys
The ES90 is packed with tech starting with the 9-inch driver display & head-up display for key info. There is also the 14.5-inch touchscreen for navigation, entertainment, and climate control.
As for sound quality Volvo has fitted the Bowers & Wilkins sound system with 25 speakers, Dolby Atmos®, and an Abbey Road Studio mode. The Car also comes with built-in Google for navigation, voice control, apps and 360-degree 3D camera for stress-free parking.

Volvo’s Safe Space Technology includes:
