Honda Malaysia has unveiled some exciting plans for 2025, starting with an ambitious sales target of 83,000 units and a goal to strengthen its market share to 10.6%.
To achieve these objectives, the company has outlined a strategic business direction, including the introduction of three new models this year. The first of these, the new 2025 Honda Civic, was officially launched in January. This latest iteration of the Civic comes with two distinct powertrains: the e:HEV RS and a 2.0L e:HEV powertrain, along with updated technology and a refreshed design.

As for the other two models set to launch later this year, Honda Malaysia has remained tight-lipped, offering no details on the type of vehicles or their release timeline.
However, the company is not stopping there. Honda Malaysia is gearing up to introduce its first-ever Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the Honda e:N1. This model was first unveiled during the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024.
Honda Malaysia’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hironobu Yoshimura, stated, “Aligned with our 2025 business direction, we are set to energize the market with the debut of our first BEV, the e:N1. This model exemplifies Honda’s advanced BEV features while also introducing the Company’s initial EV technology to the Malaysian market. The e:N1 is poised to captivate customers with its distinctive positioning, backed by Honda’s extensive experience and wide network of after-sales support.”
The Honda e:N1 is essentially a fully electric version of the HR-V, featuring a single motor driving the front axle with an output of 201 hp and 310 Nm of torque. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds and has a top speed of 160 km/h. It also offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 412 km on a single charge.
In terms of design, the e:N1 closely resembles the standard HR-V, with the most notable differences being the white “H” logo and full “Honda” lettering on the rear. The displayed model lacks a glass roof and power tailgate.
Inside, the biggest updates include a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster and a tablet-like 15.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Unlike the standard HR-V, the e:N1 features push-button gear selectors.
Beyond the e:N1, Honda Malaysia has also confirmed plans to launch two additional BEVs within the next two years. However, no further details have been provided at this stage, meaning we’ll have to wait for official announcements.
Alongside its product expansion, Honda Malaysia is also focused on enhancing its sales and after-sales services. The company has established a strong dealership network, now comprising 104 dealerships, staffed by highly trained professionals. To ensure continuous improvement, Honda Malaysia invests in equipping its associates with the latest industry knowledge and expertise to deliver top-notch service.
In line with its commitment to customer convenience, Honda Malaysia is prioritizing digitalization to streamline the after-sales experience. The Honda Touch platform now boasts over 430,000 active users, demonstrating the company’s drive to provide seamless and efficient digital solutions.
By blending innovation with sustainability, Honda Malaysia reaffirms its commitment to “Powering Progress, Expanding Joy.” The company continues to evolve its lineup of internal combustion engine and e:HEV technologies while seamlessly integrating BEV advancements. This forward-thinking approach allows Honda Malaysia to remain relevant, offering versatile, innovative, and sustainable mobility solutions that enhance everyday life.
