BYD has been making serious waves in the EV world, cementing its place as a top-tier player with just three models – the Atto, Seal, and Dolphin. And now, they’ve just pulled the wraps off the facelifted Atto 3, bringing a fresh new design and upgraded tech to the table.

A Stylish Makeover
The updated Atto 3 isn’t a full-blown second-gen model, but rather a sharp and refined facelift. Originally leaked through regulatory filings, the new Atto 3 was later spotted testing on Chinese roads. Now, official images confirm what we’ve been expecting – a sleek, modern refresh.
Up front, the Atto 3 gets a sportier look, with aggressive new cuts in the bumper and redesigned air intakes. The facelift also introduces new 17-inch and 18-inch alloy wheel options, adding to its bold stance.

At the rear, the updates mirror the front’s sporty vibe. A reworked bumper features a more compact skid plate, while the new tailgate spoiler boasts a sculpted centre section. The tail lamps now sport an intricate wave-like light signature, echoing the design language of the smaller Atto 2 and Dolphin.
Gone are the C-pillar scales – instead, BYD has opted for a cleaner, more streamlined window trim design, which now features new rear quarter windows to complement the sleeker side profile. The rocker panels also get a subtle silver strip, tying the whole look together seamlessly.
Tech That’s Smarter Than Ever
The real showstopper, though, is the new God’s Eye C (DiSus 100) driving assistance system. This next-level tech suite features a triple-camera block mounted under the windscreen, plus a whopping 29 sensors, including four surround-view cameras, five long-range cameras, five mm-wave radars, and twelve ultrasonic radars.
What does that mean for drivers? Well, the facelifted Atto 3 now boasts support for ten high-speed navigation scenarios and six intelligent parking modes, making it even easier to drive and park with confidence.
Power & Range Options
Under the skin, things remain largely unchanged. The Atto 3 retains its single 150 kW (201 hp) electric motor driving the front wheels. It continues to offer two LFP battery options – 49.9 kWh and 60.5 kWh – delivering 430 km and 510 km of range, respectively, under CLTC conditions.
With a refreshed look, smarter tech, and the same impressive performance, the facelifted Atto 3 is set to keep BYD firmly at the top of the EV game. Watch this space for launch details and availability!
