For those who feared there will be limited scenes of the late Paul Walker in the next installment of the Fast and Furious series, fear not as sources revealed the producers have decided that they will use CGI to replace Walker in unfilmed scenes. Voices from Paul’s previous recording will also be manipulated to fit the movie’s script and a total of four body doubles will be used for movement shots.
After that tragedy that took Paul’s life last year, the whole movie was put in limbo, creating speculation if the producers will decide either to kill or retire his character, Brian O’Connor. The seventh installment of the series, which was originally stated for release in the summer of 2014, was bought forward to April 2015. This is not the first time such an attempt was made, in 2000, for the Academy Award winning movie Gladiator, the producers had resorted to CGI and body double to film the remaining scenes involving actor Oliver Reed, who died from a heart attack during filming.
