Tesla has slated to launch an electric semi truck this month and folks over in the US might just have spotted it. The image was first revealed on popular site, Reddit before it was removed and then somehow got posted again on TechCrunch.
The Verge previously posted a silhouette of the truck which does give a little glimpse of the overall shape and this spy shot might just be accurate enough. Electric trucks are what a couple of other companies are gunning for as fuel costs and range needs to be studied carefully in order to ensure that they are also economically viable.
Trucks compared to cars may not necessarily have the issue with weight especially when it comes to batteries and having a larger frame, as well as a tow at the back, leaves a bit more room to play around with battery placements and also solar panel placements. We can only wait until Tesla officially unveils the truck to get a full picture.
