In an interview with the One Show, James May, the former host and presenter at the hit BBC TV show, Top Gear, has revealed that the Grand Tour Season 2 will start in October. That means only 4 more months before we get to catch the 3 stooges combination of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May on Amazon Prime.
The Grand Tour’s first season wasn’t as spectacular as many critics would point out, with it being a familiar setting of the 3 former hosts of Top Gear now parading in front of Amazon Prime customers. The plot felt way too scripted and certain elements such as the celebrity brain crash and how they made their celebrities die before ever reaching the tent seemed a little stale. Their antics were still familiar and somewhat boring at times.
As far as production goes, the team is working on the edits at the moment and hopes to complete them in time for an October release on Amazon Prime. The key difference for the Grand Tour is that it is now shot in 4K which makes a lot of things a little bit more complicated as well as more expensive.
But even Top Gear had a bumpy first season without the trio so here is hope to Season 2 of the Grand Tour.
