Photos of the Honda Accord-based Proton Perdana has emerged without any camouflage, this time showcasing the car in a shade of gold.
Found on a local forum, this is like the 2.4 variant of the upcoming Perdana, as evident from its rear bootlid spoiler and bodykit. Furthermore, this particular model has front parking sensors as well, in addition to the rear parking camera. Curiously, the bottom half of the bumper is body-coloured, as opposed to the black finished shown during the sneak preview a few months ago.
Up front, the Perdana features a pair of LED daytime running lights and generous use of chrome inserts on the top and bottom grille. The 2.4 variant of the Perdana also features a pair of xenon headlights with projectors.
To recap, the 2016 Proton Perdana will utilize Honda engines where the range-topping variant will be fitted with an i-VTEC 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine producing 178 hp at 6,500 rpm and 222 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm. The 2.0 variant, on the other hand, will utilize a 2.0-litre i-VTEC four-cylinder engine with 152 hp at 6,300 rpm and 189 Nm at 4,300 rpm. Both engines are mated to a 5-speed automatic gearbox with paddle shifters.
