A few months ago the organizers of the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) has unrevealed the 2014 calendar of the WSBK season for 2014, in which Malaysia is set to host the first WSBK race in Sepang – despite being labeled as a provisional round, which means it is subject to be confirmed. However, recently SIC’s Facebook page has revealed that the tickets for the WSBK race in Sepang is now on sale. More interestingly, the Malaysian round is set to be confirmed on 6-8 June 2014.
Ticket starts at RM130 for Grandstand, which is around the pricing of MotoGP tickets – with the early bird package of RM30 less than the normal tickets. The early bird promo ends on 15th April 2014. However, the WSBK race has yet to be officially announced by SIC, as seen on their official website they have not yet began promotions of the event.
The WSBK is another world-class motorcycle race regulated by the FIM, the international governing body of motorcycle racing. The motorcycles in WSBK consist of souped up production bikes that can be bought by the public, unlike the prototype bikes as seen in MotoGP. That explains why WSBK has a huge following among superbike fans worldwide.
The first round of the WSBK begins in Phillip Island, Australia on 23 February. One thing is for sure, local motorsports fans mark these dates of 6-8 June 2014 on your calendars!
UPDATE: The Event is now confirmed by SIC! Grab your tickets now!
