After much rumours and spyshots, Toyota has officially unveiled the much-awaited Toyota Sienta at the 2016 Indonesian International Motor Show.
Available in four trim levels, all Toyota Sienta variants will feature the same 1.5-litre 2NR-FE Dual-VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine that pushes out 107 PS and 143 Nm of torque. Depending on variant, the Sienta can be had with a six-speed manual or a CVT with Sport Sequential Shiftmatic. Also standard across the range for the Toyota Sienta are twin airbags, ABS, EBD, BA, ISOFIX child seat mounts, fabric interior and a space saver type spare tyre.
The entry-level Toyota Sienta is only available with a manual transmission. The base model comes with halogen projector headlights with manual leveling. Furthermore, the base model gets 15-inch steel wheels with plastic covers, manual air conditioning, monochrome multi-info display, a double-DIN head unit with integrated USB, AUX with CD and MP3 playback, remote alarm and manual sliding doors.
Moving level up from the base model is the Sienta G. This variant is available with both a manual and CVT. Furthermore, the Sienta G receives the same halogen headlights with manual leveling and monochrome MID as the base model. However, buyers of this variant gets front fog lights, 15-inch alloy wheels, 5.6-inch touchscreen head unit with USB, AUX, Bluetooth, Miracast and Air Gesture capabilities, remote alarm with immobilizer, electric left side sliding door and rear parking sensors.
The third variant is the Sienta V. Like the G variant, this V variant can be had with a manual or CVT. This variant is largely similar to the G variant, but adds digital air conditioning with double blower, electric sliding doors and keyless entry with push start button.
Sitting right on top is Toyota Sienta Q. The range-topper receives all the bell and whistles, including bi-beam LED headlights with auto leveling, dual-tone 15-inch alloy wheels, a 4-inch TFT LCD multi-info display and a dark brown fabric interior. The top-of-the-line variant can be had with only a CVT.
Seeing that the Sienta is currently assembled at Toyota’s new plant in Karawang, this new seven-seater could be seeing a Malaysian debut sooner than expected.
