Naza Kia Malaysia has officially introduced the Rio Sedan X, which includes a sporty body kit, exclusive leather seats and a multimedia infotainment system with reverse camera. The full body kits cover the front skirt, side skirt, rear skirt and rear spoiler, making for a sporty appearance.
Power comes from a 1.4 MPI DOHC CVVT engine which produces 109 PS and 137 Nm of torque, mated to a four-speed automatic transmission, unchanged from the regular model. Furthermore, the Rio Sedan X is fitted with motor-driven power steering (MDPS) that saves fuel consumption by 3% by eliminating hydraulics in favour of an electrically-driven motor.

In the face of its critical and commercial success, the Rio Sedan X takes a leap forward in the Rio’s evolution with additional accessories that herald both aesthetical and technological sophistication. With a sales target of more than 1,400 units, we expect the Rio Sedan to contribute significantly to Naza Kia Malaysia’s sales performance in 2016 of over 6,100 units total sales,” said Dato’ Samson Anand George, Group Chief Operating Officer, Automotive Group, Naza Corporation Holdings.
The new infotainment system is backed by a 7-inch touchscreen display that incorporates MirrorLink, USB, Bluetooth, FM radio and a reverse camera.
The Rio Sedan X comes standard with four-disc brakes, anti-lock brake system (ABS), tire pressure monitoring system and electronic stability control (ESC). In addition to that, the B-segment sedan is also equipped with a vehicle stability management (VSM), a hill-start assist control (HAC) and rear parking sensor. Other features include six airbags, High-Strength Steel, ISOFIX, power windows and door locks along with keyless entry.
The Rio Sedan X is priced at RM77,888 with the addition of exclusive leather seats, multimedia infotainment system and full body kit. The Rio Sedan X is available in Bright Silver, Signal Red, Deep Blue and Clear White and comes with a five years warranty with unlimited mileage with terms and conditions applied.
