Honda is set to debut the all-new 2016 Honda Civic Turbo at the upcoming Bangkok International Motor Show. But, spyshots from Indonesia shows that the Republic could receive theirs soon!
Thanks to Autonetzmag, we can see that the 2016 Honda Civic Turbo has arrived in Indonesia, and the lack of camouflage could indicate that Honda Indonesia is busy shooting a commercial. After all, the Civic Turbo shown here is wearing its Civic licence plate, not a manufacturer trade plate.
Visually, the Indonesian 2016 Honda Civic Turbo appears to be identical to its Thai sibling, though trim levels may differ from each country. Autonetzmag also reckons that Indonesia will receive several variants of the 2016 Honda Civic, including the naturally-aspirated base and mid range model, as well as the range-topping turbocharged model.
Just to recap, the 2016 Honda Civic is available with either a naturally-aspirated 1.8-litre i-VTEC engine mated to a Earth Dreams Technology CVT, while the Civic Turbo gets its power from a new turbocharged 1.5-litre VTEC turbo engine, which is available with the aforementioned CVT. The former pushes out 141 hp at 6,500 rpm and maximum torque of 174 Nm at 4,300 rpm, while the force-induction sibling manages 173 hp at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 220 Nm at 1,700 – 5,500 rpm.
