Honda has given us a glimpse into its future design direction by introducing the Vision XS-1 concept at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi, India.

The Honda Vision XS-1 concept vehicle is a creative study model which embodies Honda’s vision for the future of manufacturing while staying true to the company’s original M/M philosophy (man maximum, machine minimum). The concept is also one of the first design studies to employ Honda’s ‘Exciting H Design’ philosophy, denoted by the solid chrome wing grille and integrated LED headlights – something which will become Honda’s design identity.

Despite having a compact dimensions, the XS-1 concept is able to seat up to seven people thanks to the three-row seating arrangement. It also comes with a  huge sliding doors with large openings on both sides which enables easy entrance into the spacious cabin.

Although there is no mass-production plan for this model at the moment, Honda says that the company chose to exhibit the world premiere of this model in India because it is a rapidly growing market where Honda has strong ties.
