Powering the Lotus Evora 400 is a 3.5-litre petrol V6, shoehorned with a Edelbrock supercharger, which pushes out a monstrous 400 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and 400 Nm of torque from 3,500 – 6,500 rpm. The Evora 400 boasts an increase of 56 hp over the Evora S. A six-speed automatic transmission transfers all the power to the rear wheels. 0-100 km/h is achieved in a mere 4.2 seconds, and top speed is 280 km/h. Owners can also opt for the six-speed manual transmission, which boasts a top speed of 300 km/h. The stick shift Evora also has 10 Nm more torque than its automatic sibling.

The new Lotus Evora 400 sheds 42 kg over its predecessor, tipping the scale at just 1,395 kg, which enables the new Lotus Evora 400 to lap the Lotus test track at Hethel seven seconds faster than the previous Evora S in a time of 1 minute 31 seconds. Stopping power is courtesy of 370 mm composite two piece brake discs from AP Racing up front, while the rears are 350 mm discs.

Aesthetically, the new Lotus Evora 400 sports a redesigned front end, with bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights. The rear end is occupied by a large three-piece rear wing, below that is the lightweight rear sport diffuser. Owners can choose between gloss black or silver for their rims. The wheel sizes are 19-inches up front while the rears are 20-inches. Both front and rear wheels are wrapped with sticky Michelin Pilot Sport rubbers (235/35 R19 front, 285/30 R20 rear).
