007’s Aston Martin DB10 up for auction at RM6 million!

One of the most iconic movie cars in the recent years, 007’s Aston Martin DB10 was intended for the film and was never meant to reach a private buyer’s hands, however one unit has managed to find its way into an auction!

Aston Martin built only 10 units of this DB10 specifically for the James Bond movie, Spectre. The one that will be sold at an auction is one of the only two working show cars which were left unmodified and used for display purposes. As for the rest of the DB10’s, well they are pretty much history.

Based on the V8 Vantage chassis, the DB10 features unique all-carbon bodywork and a bespoke, handmade cabin. Petrolheads will be happy to know that the 4.7-litre V8 engine is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox because apparently our favorite secret agent prefers to change his own gears.

The car will be the only DB10 to be offered to private owners and will come – for the first time – with Aston Martin’s platinum authentication award. This certificate means that the DB10 has undergone a digital scan for future reference, yup this car is definitely a real deal!

In case the certificate is not enough, the car will also bear the autograph of current James Bond himself, Daniel Craig. The Aston Martin DB10 will be auctioned on February 18, at Christie’s King Street auction house in London with the proceeds donated to Médecins Sans Frontières, a medical humanitarian organization.

However, given the fact that the car will become a highly prized collectible, it is expected to sell for more than RM6,000,000!
