We reported previously when Google announced the Open Automotive Alliance where they aim to partner with car makers to bring Android to the car. Then Mercedes was partnering with Pebble to integrate the smart watch with their cars. Finally, small shrouds of iOS in the car are starting to surface up.
Apple has announced their plans for integration with cars since 2013 during the World Wide Developers Conference and since then we haven’t heard much from them or the car makers.

Again, with Apple’s super secretive ways of working we have finally found a small glimpse of the possibilities through a leak via developer Steven Troughton-Smith.
The demo shows how an Apple device can be connected and it shows the Maps application. Users can either input in their destination via the touch screen or via their devices. This is good as not all car makers supply touch screens hence you can still control it via the iDevice as well.
We will definitely see more of it in the months to come, can’t wait to see the final product!
