Mazda is preparing a bunch of new concepts for the upcoming Tokyo Auto Salon which is set to open its doors on January 15.
First up are two concepts based around the Mazda MX-5 (Roadster), dubbed the RS Racing Concept and the NR-A Racing Spec. The RS Racing Concept is painted in gloss black and it has been fitted with a bold splitter at the front end complete with red accents. Matching side skirts are also featured as is a custom rear bumper and diffuser also including red elements.
A new dual-exiting exhaust has been installed alongside bespoke wheels, while the adjustable suspension is meant to improve the handling of the sports car.
The NR-A Racing Spec on the other hand is more focused on track use, featuring a racing-inspired white, silver, red and black livery, a prominent tow hook and a roll cage. Inside there are racing bucket seats and Takata seatbelts.
The customized Mazda CX-3 brandishes a black and red paint scheme similar to the Roadster RS Racing Concept, but its most eye-catching elements are the new rear bumper and roof-mounted spoiler.
Also on display will be the Mazda 6 (Atenza) that has been outfitted with a new splitter, side skirts and rear bumper as well as a set of black wheels with silver lips.
The fifth, and final concept is a rally-prepped Mazda 2 (Demio) with mudflaps, rally wheels and tyres, a roll cage and a stripped-out cabin.
