No, we did not mix our cars up. While this test mule evidently looks like the previous generation Audi Q7, sources have said that it in fact is the Audi Crossblue CUV underneath.
According to Autohome, they believe that the Audi Crossblue is still in early development stages, and may not pan out to be 100% as how the concept is. External oddities of this mule includes the wider fenders and protruding fuel cap. Peeking inside, you’ll see that the HVAC controls are placed at where the handbrake would have been.
Autohome also claims that the Crossblue concept will be produced in China.
Audi only previewed the Crossblue concept back in 2013, with little to no updates after that. It will be interesting to see how Audi plans to market this Touareg-sized SUV.
