It seems like Honda Motor Co. is testing out the next-generation Honda CR-V with 3 row of seats. Some reports have claimed that the new Honda CR-V may be slotted above its current segment, entering the premium category.
The lone photo taken by KGP PHOTOGRAPHY shows that this particular CR-V mule has its front end completely taped up, though the rear end is bare. Interestingly, the rear door has also been taped up, but that does not hide the fact that the rear door is noticeably longer than the current CR-V.
Sources have told Autonews that the next-generation Honda CR-V will be available with 3 row of seats when it debuts two years later in 2017.
The 3-row Honda CR-V wont be on sale in the US, as Honda Motor Co. has the Odyssey and Pilot for the people-moving audience. Whether or not this particular variant could enter Malaysia is yet to be seen. One of the Honda CR-V’s biggest rival, the Nissan X-Trail does come with 3 rows of seat, but with very limited space.
